Application Process for International Students

SSE welcomes applications from students worldwide. International applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, English proficiency, and a solid foundation in mathematics. Standardized test scores, such as a minimum SAT score of 1300 or an ACT score of 28, are also required. The minimum GPA varies depending on the curriculum; however, competitive applicants often present GPAs of 3.8 or higher, and IB scores above 38.

Applications are due by January 15th, with interviews conducted in February and decisions released in April. Unlike many state universities in Sweden, SSE allows students to apply with predicted grades before they graduate high school, making the process more accessible for international students. Applicants must submit documents through both the Swedish national portal (University Admissions) and SSE’s own application portal.

Through a partnership with a housing provider, students can secure modern studio apartments located in Spånga, just 25–30 minutes from campus by train and bus.
